Coach Paulo

At first I was nervous and scared but then I met my new coach then every thing changed. I was the inactive kid, who sat at home playing video games, sleeping, and watching TV. That is until my mom signed me up for basketball.

Coach Paulo taught me every thing I know to ball handling, lay-ups, foul shots, and of course, running laps. He was a great couch because he made my first years of basketball really fun. One year we even came first in the end of the year basket ball tournament! I made a lot of new friends on the team, including coach Paulo’ s son.

But he didn’t just teach me about playing basketball. He also taught me how to be a good sport and a team player. When I was playing basketball, I realized that some of the players were playing dirty, but I guess it was working, because they were getting baskets. I was little and didn’t know better I asked coach Paulo why we weren’t playing like that, and he said “It’s not right.”

Coach Paulo is more then a coach to me. He is both a role model, and the man who taught me every thing I know about basketball. He’s the one who made basketball fun. Now five years later I’m still playing and I owe it all to coach Paulo.

THE SWEET EXPLOSION

In a snowy winter of 2007 I Aiden Gunter-woods and my friends Alex, Taylor and Max were having an epic snow ball fight after school in the huge soccer fields.

My friend Alex has a really good arm and nailed me in the face. I flew to the ground to see a unopened open 2L bottle of Pepsi in the snow… I smiled.

I picked it up and examined it to make sure it had never been open… it wasn’t.

Taylor and I fought over and I dropped it.

Taylor an I booth started to laughed because Max went to pick it up and it had a hole the size of a pin and sprayed Max a in the face.

I knew it was kind grouse to drink out of a Pepsi bottle we found in the snow but all I was thinking was how nice it would be to drink a sweet, smooth. Fizzy pop when I was so tired.

I and Taylor drank out of it because we were thirsty from running around in our snow suits from the snow ball fight earlier.

Alex was staring at how much it was foaming up inside.

I was holding the Pepsi bottle when we were walking back to Max’s house when all of a sudden BAM!!!

Out of know were the bottle exploded and sweet, surgery, syrupy Pepsi got all over me and my new winter jacket.

For a few seconds I was deaf it was so loud and my ears were killing me I didn’t know if it was because it was loud or that I had Pepsi in my ears.

A bit went on Taylor but all the rest went on me Alex and max were in a safe enough distance.

Alex, Max and Taylor started to laugh.

It took e a wile to laugh because I was thinking what would happen to me when I got home and my mom saw my new jacket having permanent Pepsi stains all over it.

We continued to walk back to Max’s house which was very awkward because every one was looking at me because of all the Pepsi on me or they were looking at Taylor , Alex, and Max because they were still laughing about the Pepsi bottle but I think they were looking at me. The End
